Every season at BloomyBliss Farm tells its own story. While spring brings vibrant blooms and winter fills the farm with colours, May, June, and July are months that teach us patience, resilience, and the importance of preparing for the next chapter.
These months are among the hottest of the year at our farm. As temperatures rise, many flowering plants naturally slow down, making this season less about blooming and more about collecting seeds, preserving nature’s treasures, preparing new beds, and nurturing the next generation of plants.
Although the landscape becomes quieter, the farm never truly rests. Every day brings new life, new learning, and new hope.
May & June: Living Through the Summer Heat
May and June brought intense summer temperatures, making them some of the most challenging months for natural farming. Most seasonal flowers completed their life cycle, and our focus shifted from harvesting blooms to collecting seeds for future seasons.
Every seed we collected represents another opportunity for nature to bloom again.
Summer Blooms That Kept the Farm Alive
Even during the scorching summer, several plants continued to brighten the farm.
Strawflowers
Our strawflowers continued giving us a few beautiful blooms, adding cheerful colours even in the harsh weather.
Blue Pea | Butterfly Pea (Aparajita)
Blue Pea flowers continued blooming gracefully throughout the summer. Their beautiful blue blossoms remind us that some plants thrive even when conditions become difficult.
Jasmine
Jasmine never disappoints us. Throughout May and June, the plants remained healthy and rewarded us with abundant, fragrant blooms that filled the evenings with their soothing aroma.
Roses
Our roses also continued blooming beautifully, proving once again why they remain one of the strongest flowering plants at BloomyBliss Farm.
Sunflowers
Even under the summer sun, our vibrant sunflowers bloomed beautifully, filling the farm with bright golden blooms and reminding us that resilience always finds a way to shine and continue to blooming beautifully for next 2 months.
Hibiscus
Our hibiscus plants continued to bloom generously throughout the season, filling the farm with vibrant, healthy flowers that remain one of the most reliable and cherished blooms at BloomyBliss Farm.
Lemongrass: Our Evergreen Harvest
If there is one crop that supports us throughout every season, it is lemongrass.
No matter whether it is winter, summer, or monsoon, lemongrass continues to grow vigorously. It remains one of the most dependable plants on our farm and provides us with continuous harvests for our natural wellness products.
A Beautiful Surprise from Nature
Nature always has a way of surprising us.
One of the most unexpected moments this year happened in June, when we noticed a few chrysanthemum flowers blooming.
Normally, chrysanthemums bloom in our region from mid-October through December, making June blooms extremely unusual. It reminded us that nature doesn’t always follow calendars, and sometimes she writes her own rules.
Those unexpected flowers became one of the happiest moments of our summer.
Harvesting American Saffron Seeds
June also marked the time to harvest American saffron flower seeds.
Carefully collecting and preserving these seeds ensures that we can continue growing these beautiful flowers in the coming season. Every seed saved today carries the promise of tomorrow’s blooms.
Bananas: The Sweet Companion of Every Season
Just like every other month, our banana plants continued blessing us with sweet fruits.
Bananas have become the quiet heroes of BloomyBliss Farm—always present, always generous, and always reminding us that nature rewards consistency.
July: Preparing for a New Beginning
With the arrival of July, the farm became full of activity once again.
This month is not about harvesting—it is about building the future.
Almost every day was spent:
- Preparing new planting beds
- Germinating seeds
- Caring for young seedlings
- Taking new cuttings
- Improving the overall farm layout
Behind the scenes, July is one of our busiest months.
Four Years of Hard Work Finally Came Together
One of our biggest achievements this year was completing the 2D plantation model of BloomyBliss Farm.
After four years of planning, planting, observing, relocating, and redesigning, we have finally established a balanced layout where both seasonal flowers and perennial plants have their dedicated spaces.
This milestone makes future farming more organized, sustainable, and efficient.
It has truly been a labour of love.
New Season Seedlings Are Ready
As July progressed, many young seedlings became ready for transplanting.
Our nursery is now full of healthy baby plants waiting to move into their permanent beds.
This includes:
- Marigolds
- Gomphrena
- Celosia
- Phalaris
These tiny seedlings represent the beginning of another beautiful flowering season.
Perennial Plants Ready for New Beds
Along with seasonal flowers, several perennial plants are also ready for planting.
This season we are preparing to transplant:
- Jasmine
- Roses
- Chrysanthemums
Watching these young plants grow gives us hope for the months ahead.
Herbs Continue to Thrive
Even during this busy season, many herbs remained ready for harvest.
- Fresh Basil
- Mint
- Lemongrass (almost ready for harvest once the rainy season settles)
These herbs continue supporting our natural skincare and wellness products throughout the year.
Flowers That Continued to Bloom
Despite the intense summer heat, sunflowers, Blue Pea (Aparajita), roses, jasmine, and hibiscus continued to bloom beautifully, bringing colour, fragrance, and life to the farm. Their resilience reminded us that even during the hottest months, nature always finds a way to flourish
Fruits from Around the Farm
Nature continued to reward us with fresh fruits.
This season we enjoyed harvesting:
- Bananas
- Guavas
- Lemons
- Custard Apples
One of the most exciting moments this year was seeing our Amla tree begin fruiting for the very first time, marking another milestone in our growing orchard.
New Plants, New Experiments
This year we also introduced many new plant varieties across the farm.
Some are still adapting to their new environment, while others have shown encouraging growth.
We’ll share more about these exciting additions in the coming months once we know which ones successfully establish themselves at BloomyBliss Farm.
Farming is always an experiment, and every new plant teaches us something valuable.
Sharing Our Farm with Nature
BloomyBliss Farm has never belonged to us alone.
Every day we share it with countless birds, butterflies, bees, squirrels, rabbits, and other wild visitors.
Watching wildlife enjoy the flowers, trees, fruits, and peaceful surroundings reminds us that a healthy farm is one where humans and nature live together in harmony.
Their presence makes every season even more meaningful.
May–July Reflections
May, June, and July may not be the most colourful months, but they are among the most important.
These are the months that quietly prepare the farm for everything that follows.
They remind us that behind every beautiful bloom is a season of invisible work—collecting seeds, nurturing seedlings, preparing soil, and patiently trusting nature’s timing.
At BloomyBliss Farm, we believe every season has its own purpose. Some seasons fill the fields with flowers, while others fill our hearts with hope.
And as always, we continue growing with nature, learning from every challenge, and celebrating every new beginning.
