Take Urad dal and Rice in equal proportions and soak them for 2 hours, this will ensure even cooking of the ingredients. After two hours, when dal and rice are soaked, heat some ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and cardamon. Stir till the cumin seeds crackle. Now add dal and rice. Add salt as per taste. Now add water to cook the ingredients for 3-4 whistles in the pressure cooker. Serve hot along with ghee.
