Dried Flowers – Naturally Grown, Carefully Preserved by BloomyBliss
Dried flowers began at BloomyBliss because we wanted to preserve something we had grown ourselves.
Our journey started on the BloomyBliss Farm, where we experimented with different flowers to discover what could grow successfully in our land and climate. We planted different varieties, observed their growth, learned from failures, and gradually understood which flowers performed best.
Then our first flower crop was finally ready.
But COVID-19 arrived.
With transportation, markets and normal business activities disrupted, we couldn’t do what we had originally planned with our fresh flower harvest. We had beautiful flowers from our farm, but limited ways to get them to customers while they were fresh.
Instead of allowing the harvest to go to waste, we started experimenting with drying the flowers.
That simple decision changed the direction of BloomyBliss.
We discovered that flowers could be carefully harvested and naturally preserved, allowing their shapes, textures and colours to be enjoyed for much longer than fresh flowers.
People began using our dried flowers for home décor, crafts, resin art, gifting, flower arrangements and other creative projects.
And that is how the BloomyBliss dried flower journey began.
From Our Farm to Your Creative Space
At BloomyBliss, dried flowers are more than a decorative product.
They represent years of learning from the land.
Before selling dried flowers, we experimented with different flowers and growing conditions on our farm. We observed how individual varieties behaved during harvesting and drying and learned that not every flower responds to drying in the same way.
Some flowers retain their natural form beautifully.
Some preserve their colour particularly well.
Some become delicate and are better suited to petals or craft applications.
Some work wonderfully for resin art.
Others are naturally beautiful in arrangements and home décor.
This hands-on experience has shaped the way we select, harvest and preserve our flowers.
We don’t simply see a dried flower as something that has lost its freshness. We see it as another stage in the life of the flower.
What Are Dried Flowers?
Dried flowers are flowers that have been carefully preserved after harvest by removing much of their moisture.
Unlike fresh flowers, dried flowers don’t require water and can be kept and displayed for a much longer period when properly cared for.
Their natural shapes, textures and colours make them useful for:
- Home decoration
- Dried flower arrangements
- Bouquets
- Resin art
- Craft projects
- Pressed flower artwork
- Gift wrapping
- Wedding and event décor
- Botanical artwork
- Creative packaging
- Seasonal decorations
Depending on the flower and how it has been prepared, dried flowers can be available as whole flowers, flower heads, stems, loose petals or pressed flowers.
Why Choose BloomyBliss Natural Dried Flowers?
Farm-Inspired, Not Factory-Made
Our understanding of dried flowers comes from working with flowers at the farm level.
We have grown different varieties, experimented with our crops, harvested flowers and learned through experience how different flowers behave after harvest.
That experience helps us select flowers with their eventual use in mind.
Naturally Inspired
We believe flowers don’t need to look artificial to be beautiful.
Our dried flowers retain the natural variations that make real flowers unique.
You may notice differences in shape, size, texture and colour between individual flowers. These natural variations are part of their character.
Handled With Care
Flowers are delicate.
From harvesting to drying, sorting, packing and shipping, they need careful handling.
We aim to preserve the natural character of each flower rather than treating it like a mass-produced decorative material.
Sustainable Way to Enjoy Flowers
Fresh flowers have a naturally short life.
Dried flowers offer another way to enjoy botanical beauty without daily watering or frequent replacement.
When cared for properly, dried flowers can remain part of your home, artwork or creative project for a long time.

How We Discovered the Art of Drying Flowers
Our dried flower journey was built through experimentation.
When we started growing flowers at BloomyBliss Farm, we didn’t know exactly which varieties would become part of our future product collection.
We had to learn.
We tried different flowers.
We watched how they grew.
We observed their response to our land and seasons.
We harvested them.
We experimented with preserving them.
Some experiments worked beautifully.
Others taught us what not to do.
Then COVID forced us to rethink what we could do with our first harvest.
What initially seemed like a difficult situation became an unexpected opportunity.
Instead of losing our flowers, we preserved them.
And from that first experiment grew a new category for BloomyBliss.
Today, every dried flower carries a little part of that journey.
What Makes a Flower Good for Drying?
Not every flower is equally suitable for drying.
We consider factors such as:
Flower Structure
Flowers with naturally strong structures can retain their form better after drying.
Colour
Some varieties maintain their colour beautifully, while others naturally become softer or darker.
Texture
Different textures create different effects in arrangements, crafts and resin artwork.
Size
Small flowers may be ideal for resin or delicate crafts, while larger flowers can become statement pieces in arrangements.
Intended Use
A flower suitable for décor isn’t necessarily suitable for resin, and a decorative flower isn’t automatically suitable for consumption.
This is why we believe understanding the flower is just as important as selling it.

How to Arrange Dried Flowers
Creating a dried flower arrangement doesn’t need to be complicated.
Step 1: Choose Your Main Flower
Start with one or two flowers that will become the focal point.
Step 2: Add Supporting Flowers
Introduce smaller flowers to fill the arrangement.
Step 3: Add Texture
Dried grasses, seed heads and foliage can add height and movement.
Step 4: Create Different Heights
Avoid keeping every stem at the same level. Different heights make an arrangement feel more natural.
Step 5: Balance the Colours
Combine complementary colours rather than using too many competing shades.
Step 6: Keep It Natural
One of the beautiful things about dried flowers is their imperfect, organic character.
You don’t need every flower to be identical.
How to Care for Dried Flowers
Dried flowers are easy to maintain.
Keep them dry
Do not water dried flowers.
Avoid direct sunlight
Strong sunlight can gradually fade natural colours.
Avoid high humidity
Moisture can affect dried flowers and may encourage mould.
Dust gently
Use a soft brush or a hairdryer on a cool, low setting.
Handle carefully
Dried flowers are naturally fragile. Avoid repeatedly touching or moving them.
Store correctly
If you’re storing flowers for future craft projects, keep them somewhere dry, cool and protected from moisture.
How Long Do Dried Flowers Last?
There is no single lifespan for every dried flower.
Their longevity depends on:
- Flower variety
- Drying method
- Humidity
- Sun exposure
- Handling
- Storage conditions
With proper care, many dried flowers can remain beautiful for a long time.
Their colours may gradually soften with age, but that natural ageing can become part of their charm.
Dried Flowers vs Artificial Flowers
Dried flowers and artificial flowers create very different experiences.
Dried flowers:
- Come from real plants
- Have natural variations
- Retain natural textures
- Don’t require watering
- Can gradually change with age
- Bring a botanical character to a space
Artificial flowers:
- Are manufactured
- Usually have consistent shapes
- Can maintain a similar appearance for longer
- Often imitate the appearance of natural flowers
For people who appreciate real botanical materials, dried flowers offer something artificial flowers cannot completely reproduce:
the character of a real flower.
Why Dried Flowers Make Meaningful Gifts
Fresh flowers are beautiful, but their life is naturally short.
Dried flowers offer another kind of gift—one that can remain on a shelf, desk or wall long after the occasion has passed.
They can be meaningful for:
- Birthdays
- Anniversaries
- Weddings
- Housewarmings
- Thank-you gifts
- Festive occasions
- Corporate gifting
- Handmade gifts
A dried flower can become more than decoration.
It can become a reminder of a particular person, place or moment.
Our Philosophy: Let Flowers Have a Longer Life
At BloomyBliss, we believe nature doesn’t always need to be consumed quickly.
Sometimes, it can be preserved.
A flower begins its journey in the soil.
It grows with sunlight, water and care.
It blooms.
And eventually, its fresh life comes to an end.
Drying gives us another way to appreciate that flower.
Not forever in the biological sense—but longer in the human sense.
That idea is at the heart of our dried flower journey.
