BloomyBliss Farm Journal – August & September

A Season of New Plantations, Fresh Growth & Returning Blooms

August and September are important months at BloomyBliss Farm. As the monsoon season brings moisture to the soil, the farm enters a new phase of growth. The focus shifts towards transplanting young seedlings, preparing new flower beds, taking fresh cuttings, and nurturing the next generation of plants.

These months are all about building the foundation for the coming flowering seasons. While our new plantations begin establishing themselves, familiar flowers continue to bloom, food crops start germinating, and our evergreen lemongrass keeps providing a dependable harvest.

Every new plant brings fresh hope, and every growing season teaches us something new about working in harmony with nature.

New Flower Plantations at BloomyBliss Farm

Gomphrena, Marigolds & Blue Pea (Aparajita)

August and September were busy months for transplanting our young flower seedlings. Gomphrena, marigolds, and Blue Pea (Aparajita) were transplanted into their prepared beds, marking the beginning of another flowering cycle.

Each seedling represents weeks of care, from germination to early growth. Transplanting them into their new beds gives the plants more space to establish their roots and grow stronger.

We look forward to watching these young plants mature and bring fresh colours to BloomyBliss Farm in the coming months.

New Cuttings of Jasmine & Chrysanthemums

Along with our seasonal flower plantations, we also worked on propagating perennial plants.

Fresh jasmine and chrysanthemum cuttings were prepared and nurtured during these months. Growing plants from cuttings is a rewarding part of farming because it allows us to expand our existing plantations and develop healthy new plants.

We also transplanted rose plants, adding to the farm’s collection of beautiful flowering varieties.

These plants will need time, care, and suitable growing conditions to establish themselves. We are excited to see how they develop through the next few months.

Moringa Seeds Begin to Germinate

One of the encouraging developments during this period was the germination of our moringa seeds.

Seeing the first signs of life emerging from the soil is always special. Moringa is a valuable addition to our farm, and these young seedlings represent another step towards increasing the diversity of our plants.

We will continue nurturing them as they grow stronger and prepare for their next stage of development.

Flowers That Continued to Bloom

Even as we focused on new plantations, several established plants continued to brighten the farm.

Sunflowers

Our sunflowers continued to bring cheerful golden colour to the landscape. Their bright blooms added warmth and beauty to the farm during the monsoon season.

Blue Pea (Aparajita)

Blue Pea flowers continued blooming, adding beautiful shades of blue to the farm. These delicate flowers remain among our favourite sights, bringing colour and charm to the garden.

Roses

Our rose plants continued to produce beautiful flowers, adding their familiar elegance to the farm.

Jasmine

Jasmine continued growing and flowering, filling the surroundings with its delicate fragrance. Its blooms remain a much-loved part of the farm’s seasonal beauty.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus continued to bloom generously, as it does through much of the year. Its vibrant flowers remain a familiar and dependable highlight of our plantation.

Night Jasmine (Parijat): The First Blooms of Autumn

One of the most beautiful seasonal changes arrived towards the end of September, when our Night Jasmine, also known as Parijat, began blooming.

Its delicate white petals with orange centres and its enchanting fragrance signalled the arrival of another special flowering season. The first blooms are always exciting because they remind us how beautifully the farm responds to changing seasons.

The appearance of Parijat flowers was a gentle reminder that even as one season transitions into another, nature always has something new to offer.

Lemongrass: Our Reliable Year-Round Harvest

Lemongrass continues to be one of the most dependable crops at BloomyBliss Farm.

During August and September, our lemongrass plants grew well and provided a good harvest. Their ability to keep growing across different months makes them an important part of our farm’s year-round production.

We are grateful for this consistent growth, especially during a season when many other plants are still establishing themselves or preparing for their next flowering cycle.

Fruit Harvests – Guavas, Custard Apples and Lemons

Our fruit section brought us another lovely harvest during August and September. We harvested fresh guavas, custard apples, bananas and lemons from the farm. Each harvest is a reminder of the joy of growing our own fruits and experiencing the natural rhythm of the seasons. Along with our bananas, these fruits add to the variety and abundance that make every season at BloomyBliss special.

Growing, nurturing and harvesting our own produce continues to strengthen our connection with Mother Nature and our commitment to nature-first living.

Bananas: Growing, Ripening & Giving

Our banana plants continued growing as always, and we harvested bananas during these months as well.

Bananas have become one of the most familiar sources of abundance at BloomyBliss Farm. Watching the plants grow, develop their bunches, and provide fresh fruit is a reminder that farming is about more than flowers alone.

From ornamental blooms to nourishing food crops, every plant contributes something valuable to the farm.

Food Crop Journal: New Seeds Begin to Germinate

August and September were also important for our food crops. We observed the germination of several traditional pulse crops, including:

  • Lobia (black-eyed peas)
  • Gahat (Kulthi dal)
  • Moong (green gram)
  • Arhar (pigeon pea)
  • Moth dal

Seeing these crops begin their growth is an encouraging milestone. Germination marks the beginning of a journey that requires careful attention, healthy soil, suitable moisture, and patience.

These traditional pulses are an important part of our farm’s diversity. Growing food crops alongside flowers, herbs, and fruit trees helps us maintain a broader connection with the land and its seasonal rhythms.

We look forward to following their progress as the plants grow and move towards maturity.

A Farm in Transition: From Planting to Future Harvests

August and September remind us that farming is a continuous cycle of preparation, growth, and renewal.

During these two months, we transplanted seasonal flowers, propagated perennial plants, nurtured young moringa seedlings, watched food crops germinate, and continued harvesting lemongrass and bananas.

At the same time, our established sunflowers, roses, jasmine, hibiscus, and Blue Pea flowers kept the farm colourful, while the first Night Jasmine blooms welcomed the changing season.

Not every plant grows at the same pace, and every crop has its own requirements. Our role is to observe, adapt, and provide the best possible conditions for each one.

Reflections from BloomyBliss Farm

August and September 2026 were months of steady work, new beginnings, and renewed hope.

From young gomphrena and marigold seedlings to freshly transplanted roses, from germinating moringa seeds to newly emerging food crops, the farm has been preparing quietly for the seasons ahead.

The first Night Jasmine flowers at the end of September offered a beautiful reminder that patience is part of every growing journey.

At BloomyBliss Farm, we believe that every seedling deserves care, every harvest deserves gratitude, and every season has something valuable to teach us.

As we move towards the coming months, we look forward to seeing our new plantations grow stronger, our flowers bloom in greater abundance, and our food crops continue their journey from tiny seedlings to nourishing harvests.

Nature works in her own time, and we continue to grow with her — one plant, one season, and one new beginning at a time.
