BloomyBliss Farm Journal: Welcoming January – February 2026 with Seeds & Soil

Jan-Feb 2026 BloomyBliss Farm

Hello, BloomyBliss Family,

Happy New Year! There is a special kind of magic that happens on a farm during the first two months of the year. The frantic pace of the holiday season has settled, and the world feels crisp, quiet, and full of potential. Here at BloomyBliss, January and February are all about beginnings.

As the winter sun warms the earth just enough, we’ve been busy with our hands in the soil, ushering in the new growing season. It’s a time of fresh saplings, tender green shoots, and the promise of the blooms and harvests to come. We’re thrilled to share what’s been happening down on the farm!

The Nursery: New Saplings & A Rainbow of Promise

There is nothing quite as hopeful as a row of newly planted saplings. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been carefully introducing a new generation of flowers and plants to their forever homes in the fields.

This year, we wanted to lean into a cottage-garden dreamscape, and the new plantings reflect that. We’ve put in:

In other exciting news, our Lotus plants are showing signs of life! We’ve spotted the first new leaves unfurling on the water’s surface. It’s a slow and steady process, but it reminds us that the most beautiful things take time.

The Green Tapestry: Grains, Pulses & Veggies

Beyond the flowers, the heart of BloomyBliss Farm beats strong in our kitchen gardens and grain fields. We believe in a holistic approach, and watching our food crops thrive alongside our flowers is the ultimate joy.

This season’s planting has been a resounding success. We are happy to report that the following are all settled in and growing strong:

  • Grains: Wheat and Barley are painting the fields in strokes of brilliant green.

  • The Dal Garden: Our protein-packed patch is flourishing! We have PeasMalka Dal (Red Lentils) , Masoor Dal (both black and brown), and Chana Dal all planted and germinating beautifully.

  • The Allium Beds: The Onions and Garlic are poking their green shoots through the soil, promising a flavorful harvest later in the year.

Ready to Harvest: The First Fruits of 2026

While we wait for the new saplings to mature, the farm is already offering up its first generous bounty of the year. There’s a special excitement in harvesting ingredients that have been waiting all winter for their moment.

Right now, our harvest baskets are overflowing with:

  • Golden Bounty: We are absolutely thrilled to have harvested many bunches of Bananas! The heavy, glorious hands of ripe fruit are a testament to last year’s care, and they taste like pure sunshine.

  • Fresh Lemongrass: The scent alone is enough to uplift your spirits. Perfect for teas and Asian-inspired dishes.

  • Fresh Greens: We have the most vibrant patch of Fresh Fenugreek (Methi) , Sarso Green (Mustard Greens) , and Lai Green.

  • Surprise Blooms: Volunteers are sometimes the best gifts from nature. We have a beautiful crop of wild Dandelion flowers (perfect for salves and syrups) and the most delicate Cotton flowers ready to be admired.

  • Fragrant Beauties: The Sweet Pea flowers are climbing and blooming, filling the air with their intoxicating perfume.

  • The Star of the Kitchen: Our Toor Dal (Pigeon Pea) is ready! There is nothing quite like the taste of sambar made from freshly harvested, sun-drenched pigeon peas.

It’s a busy, beautiful, and deeply satisfying time here at BloomyBliss. From the first new leaf of the lotus to the last stem of sweet peas cut for a pressing stems, every moment reminds us why we do what we do.

We can’t wait to share the beauty of this season with you.

Stay tuned for updates on our first harvest bundles and the blooms that are just around the corner!
